Recent events at the Chapel

Here's a look at what's been happening at the Chapel.  Check out the calendar for upcoming events.

  • Dedication of our new Education Building

The Chapel celebrated the completion of our new Education Building with a dedication ceremony and reception on March 26, 2023.

  • Major milestones in the new building

The attic of the new building is now insulated, which will cut down on heating costs and help avoid formation of any new killer icicles.  Both floors are now sheetrocked.

  • Crafty Women at the Chapel

These women all have something in common, and it's not just their Christmas-y shirts!  They enjoy getting together to craft and enjoy a day of fellowship with one another each month.  All crafters are welcome to join them in the Haven on the third Saturday of each  month.

  • Children's Christmas Program

Months of rehearsals and hours of work by adult volunteers went into the production of this year's Children's Christmas Program.

  • Senior Adults Christmas Party

Everyone attending the Senior Adult Christmas party not only enjoyed games, fellowship, singing, and a delicious meal, they also had a surprise visit from the Christmas bunny!

  • Women's Christmas Party

A carload of diapers and other baby items was collected as the service project at this year's Women's Christmas Party.  The items were taken to Alaska Adoption Services to assist them in their support of new adoptive parents.

  • Decorating for Christmas

A group of dedicated workers labored several hours to get the Chapel ready for Christmas.  They enjoyed some fellowship and a pizza dinner; we get to enjoy the results of their hard work!

  • Operation Christmas Child Shoebox packing party

Shoebox gift collection for Operation Christmas Child

120 shoebox gifts were taken to the local Operation Christmas Child drop-off location.  These gifts will help spread God's word to children, families, churches, and communities around the world.

  • Shoebox Gift Packing Party

After several weeks of collecting donations from the congregation, we had a packing party!  Tons of fun with some silliness thrown in resulted in many shoebox gifts being packed and prayed over to support Operation Christmas Child.
